Freight Policy Shipping Policies • RackmountCity ships all items from our California location unless it ships from a vendor location, whichever is closer or the shortest lead time. RackmountCity reserves the right to chose the least cost option in its opinion based on the information provided. • RackmountCity uses the following carriers Common Carriers at the lowest price we can negotiate Federal Express UPS USPS • RackmountCity ships from multiple locations to reduce your freight cost and to get your order to you as fast as possible. We will get your order out on the fastest and least expensive method unless otherwise instructed by you. • For orders that weigh less than 1 lb. RackmountCity reserves the right to use USPS or UPS or any service it selects, whichever is cheaper unless otherwise instructed by you. Additional shipping charges will apply. • Orders shipping outside the Lower 48 States to Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico can only be shipped via air services. Additional shipping charges will apply. • Orders shipping to U.S. Military APO/FPO addresses, PO Boxes, and US territories (Guam, Virgin Islands, etc.) can only ship USPS Priority Mail (3-6 business days). NOTE: Boxes over 70 lbs each cannot be shipped to these locations. • As a security precaution, initial orders, and orders shipping to alternate addresses may be held for extended verification. RackmountCity reserves the right to ship to the mailing address of the cardholder. • A signature is required on all purchases of $250 or more. Delivery Estimates Our estimated shipping dates are based on several factors, including your destination address, how quickly we can obtain and assemble items for shipment (the "usually ships within" time listed on a product page), and whether you have requested that we combine items into the minimum number of shipments or ship items as they become available and from various locations. We calculate delivery by taking the estimated lead time and adding the time it takes to package the items for shipment plus the travel time with the carrier from the ship point. Depending on the shipping speed you have selected and whether you are receiving multiple items, ship times will typically take longer than the estimates on the products. The shipping dates on the products are there to indicate their availability. RackmountCity provides freight estimators. These are just estimators. RackmountCity is not responsible for variations from the estimates as companies impose a variety of surcharges, taxes, and fees for services that RackmountCity cannot anticipate when entering into a freight estimate. Things to consider are residential deliveries by common carriers, staircases, elevators, the need for lift gates, COD fees, beyond charges if you live in a remote area, etc. Federal Express, the USPS and UPS may have extra charges for weekend deliveries, early or late or same day deliveries, overweight charges, and COD charges. In all cases, if you refuse your delivery, you will be charged for the freight costs even if you didn't buy the goods. A signature is required for all shipments that exceed a value of $250. Expedited Shipping One-Day and Two-Day Shipping does not necessarily mean your order will arrive in one or two days. There is no weekend pick up or delivery from many carriers so special arrangements need to be made if you want the items to arrive by a specific date. You will need to call RackmountCity and give us detailed information and we will confirm that whether we have been able to meet your requirements and the amount of the additional costs associated with your request. We may use air or ground shipping as necessary to get your items to you within the promised time. Only the USPS will deliver to a PO Box. No weekend delivery, No PO Boxes or APO/FPO. A signature is required for all shipments that exceed a value of $250. We do not ship internationally or to prisons at this time. Tracking Information If tracking information indicates the package was delivered first check with your family and neighbors and look for a notice that a delivery was attempted before you call RackmountCity. Also look around porches and side yards since some drivers will attempt to place the package in a safe area. If the tracking information indicates the package is being returned to RackmountCity because of an incorrect address it may have been undeliverable. If there is no tracking information or you cannot locate the package and it is not being return as undeliverable, please email customersvc@rackmouncity.com. We will investigate and email or call you so please provide all your contact information. |
